<description>I know this is somewhat off topic but Im posting it in a recent blog post in the hope I get an answer.
My father died last year and we are only getting round to his personal belongings now.
He had style. It shows in his cloths. He had many suits, some very expensive, some not, all very elegant.

Whatever I dont take will be given away.
Unfortunately we were not the sme size. As is common, I the son am taller and slimmer than my late Dad. I tried a few on. The jackets looked better on me than I thought. There is length available on some of the trousers.
I am going to talk to a tailor. I just dont want to get sucked in to an emotionally charged and expensive disaster so Im here for independent advice.
Is it possible in genaral to downsize a jacket and tuck in the trousers while lengthening them.
I dont mind paying.
Thanks
